Comprehensive Examinations

Your first visit with us will be a comprehensive examination which is an hour appointment so you will have plenty of time to get to know your new Dentist in Mt Eden, ask any questions you may have and go over your previous experiences. This also gives us a chance to understand what you want and need from us as Dentists and gives us an opportunity to structure your future appointments in a way that means your individual needs are met.

Over the last 10 years we have been working our way towards being New Zealand’s most sustainable dental practice, bringing a new look and ethos to the industry. After completing an array of sustainability projects we have reduced our waste to landfill by 83% and we are pushing back against the norm of a clinical environment which is heavily dominated by single use plastic items. We are challenging our suppliers, the dental sector and our clients to reduce their impact on the world.

We have introduced TerraCycle Oral Care Recycling (bring us your old tooth brushes and tooth paste!), internal compost collection (got a bamboo tooth brush? We’ll compost it for you!) as well as soft plastics recycling. We are also proud stockists of Solid Oral Care tooth paste a New Zealand made tooth paste.
In 2020 Albert Eden Business Awards awarded us with the Green Business HQ Award for Environmental Excellence.

Due to the current Covid-19 Alert Level 3 things around our dental practice are looking a little different. Below you can find the answers to all of our commonly asked questions. If you have a dental emergency during this time we ask that you read below and then send our friendly team an email through our contact form here.

Keeping our patients and our staff safe during this time is our number one priority and we will continue to update this page as things progress. We kindly ask that you do not come in to the practice if you do not have an appointment – During Alert Level 3/Red/Orange our waiting room is closed to the public.

Please be aware that we have a zero tolerance policy for abuse towards our team members and will not be able to treat patients that do not treat our team with kindness and respect. All members of our team are trying their best during this difficult time.

Commonly
asked
questions.

Is your team full vaccinated and what is your Covid-19 status?
Our team is fully vaccinated. If you have any questions about this we are more than happy to answer them so please don’t hesitate to reach out 🙂
Are you open during Alert Level 3/Traffic light orange?
Yes! Our team are back on site and treating patients again but with additional safety precautions in place. Due to the significant demand on the health sector at present our available times are quite limited, however, we will always try to get you in as soon as possible.
Until you’re able to get back in to see us please check out our homecare tips for maintaining that beautiful smile here
What if I have a dental emergency?
Taking care of our patients and our staff during this period is our greatest priority. With that in mind, your first step should be to reach out to us by email or phone. Please describe in as much detail as you can what your current concern is, any medication you may be taking and any medical history we need to be aware of.
Are you seeing new patients?
Yes! But as we mentioned above our team is working through a significant backlog. Please get in contact and we will try to find a time that works for your and your schedule.
Do I have to be vaccinated to enter the clinic?
No. We are required to ask a series of screening questions before your appointment to ensure the safety of our patients and our staff. You will be asked if you have received the Covid-19 Vaccination as it is part of your medical history and is treated as any other medication. If you are bringing a support person we do ask that they are vaccinated and provide their vaccination certificate.
What happens once Auckland is out of Traffic Light Red/Orange?
Please come back and check this page as we move through the traffic light system. We will be updating the page with current information regarding how our appointment system will work. Once Auckland moves to traffic light green or orange we do expect significant demand and available appointment times will be limited. We will always endeavor to find a time with your preferred Dentist that works for you but please be aware that there may be a wait if you are after a specific day/time.

Our team would like to thank you for your understanding and on-going support during this difficult time.
